Crisis and resources

Thicket is not a crisis service. This website and our voicemail are not monitored around the clock, so please don't use them for anything urgent.

If you are in crisis

Call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

If a thought frightens you

An unwanted thought is not a plan. If you are afraid you might hurt yourself or someone else, or you feel you could act on a thought, call or text 988 or call 911 now. Otherwise, tell me at your next session, and we'll talk it through.

If you are a client

I return messages during office hours. If you are worried about how you are feeling between sessions, tell me at your next session, and we'll make a plan together for what to do.

What Thicket does not do

I don't prescribe medication. I don't provide emergency care, or evaluations and reports for courts. If you need any of these, your doctor or the emergency room is the right place to start.

Other places to turn

  • Your own doctor or an urgent care clinic
  • The emergency room nearest you
  • 988, for a person to talk to, by call or text
